MET Costume Institute Gala 2013 - Style Critique

Als ich heute morgen aufgewacht bin habe ich bei Instagram Hashtag MET2013 gesucht und war ehrlicherweise entsetzt... ich habe die tollsten Roben erwartet, wie man es normalerweise von der Costume Institute Gala gewöhnt ist... aber vielleicht hat die Stars das Motto "Punk meets Couture" (anlässlich der gleichnamige Ausstellung im Metropolitan Museum of Art) - ja verunsichert.
When I woke up today I checked immediately Instagram - Hashtag MET2013 - and honestly, I was totally disappointed. I expected faboulous dresses at the Costume Institute Gala... but maybe the celebrities were confused by the theme "Punk meets Couture" (name of the exhibition in the Metropolitan Museum of Art).

Die Faux-Pas kann man meiner Meinung nach in zwei Kategorien einordnen: Kopf- und Körper-Drama :) 
Eigentlich wird die Met-Gala als "Mode Oscar" bezeichnet, aber in diesem Jahr werden die Outfits der Stars und Models diesem Titel größtenteils nicht gerecht... Hier mal meine Tops und Flops.
In my opinion you can sort the Fashion Faux-Pas into 2 categories: head- and body-drama :)
Normally the Met-Gala is called "Fashion Oscar", but this year the outfits of the celebs and models don't satisfy this title. Here you can find my personal high- and lowlights.

Madonna: just a caricature of her former self

Kristen Steward: grandma's tablecloth meets ret carpet and so unflattering around the hip

Kim Kardeshian: A rose-nightmare - pattern always give a bigger appearance - and the gloves!!!

Miley Cyrus: chain mail and bad hair day??

Ashley Olsen: not the right color for her pale skin

Alicia Keys: very unflattering shape; I don't like the mixure of fabrics as well

Katy Perry: dress is quiet nice but the crown is a bit too much - and what happened to the hair???

Nicole Richie: little alien? or mysterious fast-aging? Amazing body but the hair is aweful.

Sarah Jessica Parker: she implemented the theme "punk"... but in a mock-heroic way

Aber natürlich gab es auch das ein oder andere hübsche Kleid zu sehen.
But of course there were also some wonderful dresses.
 

Cara Delevigne: best punky-elegant dress

Rooney Mara: beautiful, romantic white dress - looks like a porcelain doll

Emma Watson: classic, artful dress

Blake Lively: stunning mint-black mermaid-dress

Das gute an der Mode ist ja, dass jeder einen anderen Geschmack hat und das ja auch genau so gut ist. Die Stars stehen bei einem solchen Event unter Druck, wollen auffallen und keinesfalls in der Masse verschwinden... somit kommt das ein oder andere mutige bis over-stylte Ouftit zustande.
Letztendlich hatten aber bestimmt alle einen grandiosen Abend auf der Met-Gala und das ist ja die Hauptsache. LIFE - LOVE - HAPPINESS
The good thing in fashion is, that everybody has a different taste and that's absolutely right. The stars are under a lot of pressure at such events, because the want to "shine" - nobody wants to get lost in the crowd... therefor some of them choose a courageous or sometimes overdone outfit.
In the end all of them probably had a fantastic evening and that's the essence. LIFE - LOVE - HAPPINESS

VOGUE best-dressed-list 2010

Die Redaktion der US-Vogue wählt regelmäßig die best-angezogensten Frauen - und jetzt wurde die Trendsetter und Stilikonen 2010 bekannt gegeben - hier ein paar der "Preisträgerinnen":
 

Alexa Chung: "Street Cool"

Carey Mulligan: "Free Spirit"

Kate Moss: "Best Dressed of the Decade" (Hauptpreis)

Liya Kebede: "Conscious Chic"

Lady Gaga: "The Visionary"

Sarah Jessica Parker: "Haute Bohemian"

Ich finde alle von diesen Frauen haben es verdient auf dieser Liste zu stehen auch wenn ich manche persönlich nicht so toll finde. Zum Beispiel Kate Moss ist gar nicht mein Fall - ich finde sie nicht hübsch und ihre Figur auch nicht gut und ich verstehe nicht was sooo viele an ihr finden... aber Geschmäcker sind ja verschieden.
Meine beiden Favoritinnen: Blake Lively und Alexa Chung - die beiden haben einen tollen Stil, den ich (wenn ich deren Figur hätte) ohne nachzudenken auch so tragen würde <3

Was sagt ihr zu den "Auserwählten" der US-Vogue?

Every Year the editors of the US-Vogue select the best-dressed women - and here are some winners of 2010.
I think all women deserve to be on that list although I like some of them more and some of them less... I don't like Kate Moss - I think she is not beautiful and her body isn't after my fancy too... I cannot understand why so many people like her but their are always different opinons...
My favorite girls: Alexa Chung and Blake Lively - they are gorgeous and I like their style so much!!!

Sarah Jessica Parker @ Bambi 2010

Meine Mitbewohner und ich haben uns soeben die komplette Bambi-Veranstaltung angeschaut... wenn auch manchmal nur nebenbei weil man bei dem vielen Gequatsche schon schnell mal abschaltet...
Solche Shows leben von großen Stars und deren Auftritten - so auch beim Bambi: präsentiert von Sarah Jessica Parker (die dann *Überraschung* auch noch einen Bambi bekommt), Auftritt von Shakira und ein Bambi für Orlando Bloom für sein Engagement für Kinder in Not - und *zufällig* wird er ja auch bald selbst zum ersten Mal Vater :-)
Naja, wie gesagt - absolut durchschaubar und etwas langatmig ... aber trotzdem haben wir es uns angeschaut...

Sarah Jessica Parker war ja mal wieder ein Hingucker - etwas (nach meinem Geschmack) zu mager aber das zweite Kleid war ein Traum: <3

Süß waren auch Hannah Herzsprung, Sylvi van der Vaart (etwas Barbie-like) und natürlich der Frauenschwarm Orlando Bloom:

Und Beth Ditto von Gossip hat doch abgenommen - oder??? Aber der Pony ist mir persönlich viiiiiel zu kurz!!!

Hier noch ein Kleid welches mir wirklich nicht gefällt obwohl die Frau die es trägt eigentlich sooo wunderhübsch und stilbewusst ist - aber jeder greift ja mal daneben bzw. ist Geschmack ja unterschiedlich... Ich jedenfalls mag dieses puffelige, zu große, farblich verbesserungswürdige Kleid von Jessica Schwarz gar nicht:

These are pictures from the German Award-Show "Bambi" tonight - I liked the dress from SJP although she is soooo skinny... and Hannah Herzsprung, Sylvi van der Vaart and Orlando Bloom look so gorgeous!

Beth Ditto sang a song and I thought that she looks like she had lost weight - what do you think?
